Kaiser Wilhelm II - A personal seal from Achilleion Castle
on Corfu. Silver, gold-plated, the handle consisting of an Imperial crown on an oak leaf embellished pedestal, the seal's base surrounded by a frieze of putto heads. The seal matrix cut with the monogram "WII IR" beneath an Imperial crown and set between "Achilleion" and "Corfu". Height 70 mm, weight 122 g. Also two envelopes with gold/blind embossing "Achilleion, Corfu" under an Imperial crown, one envelope with a golden imprint made by the seal at hand and addressed to "Reichs Kanzler FÜrsten von BÜlow". In addition seven name cards, among them "Carl Spengelin - Kaiserl. Deutscher Consul zu Corfu", "Capitaine Levidis - Aide de Camp de S.A. Royale MGr le Prince Royale des Hellènes", "Colonel A. Pallis - Aide de Camp de S.M. le Roi des Hellènes" and further adjutants as well as the hectographed seating plan for a dinner banquet on board the "S.M.Y. Hohenzollern" and a photograph of the emperor on deck of a smaller ship taken during his visit of a regatta in 1907.
