An Illyrian type helmet,

6th - 5th century BC. Bronze with fine greenish-brownish patina. Hemispherical skull with two parallel ridges extending from front to back with perforations at either end, probably for the attachment of a crest. Narrow rectangular face-opening, the pointed cheekpieces with pierced holes for the chinstrap. Short, slightly flared neck-guard. Height 27 cm.
Restorations in the area of the forehead and at the top of both cheekpieces. Major restoration at the back of the head, the neck-guard with minor additions.
