A German flintlock shotgun,
Thomas Wilhelm Pistor of Schmalkalden, circa 1760. Two-stage fluted barrel, round after a baluster, with smooth bore in 14.5 mm calibre. Lavishly engraved flintlock, upper jaw replaced, repairs to the pan and frizzen area. Walnut Catalan full stock with Rocaille-decorated brass furniture. Repaired breaks and cracks, repeatedly supplemented and reworked. Wooden ramrod with brass tip. Length 118 cm.
