A Roman cupid dancing,

1st - 2nd century A.D. Cast bronze complemented by cold-working. The boy standing with his right arm akimbo, the left leg and left arm raised, his finely modelled head turned to the left. Tied around his waist a twisted loin cloth revealing his overlarge phallus. Fine, dark green patina, the right foot missing. Height 5 cm.
A charming small bronze figure of Roman origin.
Provenance: German private collection, 1970s.
