A military diploma for a cavalryman

from the reign of Antoninus Pius, dated 146 AD. Bronze with greenish patina. Rectangular tablets with engraved inscription on both sides, two pierced holes at centre, binding wire and seal missing. Slightly warped, chipped edges, losses. Size 14.2 x 11 and 14.5 x 10.8 cm.
Diploma granting Roman citizenship issued under Antoninus Pius in 146 AD for the Province Dacia Inferior. The recipient was a horseman named Thiampo, son of Dexaus, a Bessus, who concluded his military career of 25 years in the Ala I Asturum and was rewarded for his service with the certificate at hand.
