A German boar carbine,
Johann Philipp Rosée in Nuremberg, circa 1760. Octagonal barrel with rifled bore in 15.5 mm calibre, cut folding rear sight, with silver-inlaid signature and brass-filled mark on top. Converted percussion lock with double set trigger. Carved walnut full stock with brass furniture and a wooden ramrod with brass tip. The carbine can be disassembled into two halves by means of a bayonet coupling, pull-out butt plate. The iron parts cleaned, the barrel with minimal pitting, the lock mechanism defective. Length 57 cm.
