A cartridge box for a cavalry officer,

K.u.K. Cavalry School for Cadets 1907. Cartridge box with a silver-plated lid bearing a gilded eagle, gilded edge trim, and silver-plated side panels. The front of the box beneath the lid is made of silver plate, with an embossed heraldic eagle in the centre surrounded by the inscription, "K.u.K. Kavalleriekadettenschule Mährisch Weisskirchen" (Cavalry School for Cadets, Weisskirchen, Moravia), and stamped with 34 names of the cadets of the class of 1903 - 1907 along with the facsimile signature, "Gablenz". The silver plate bears the mark "KL", and a lion head mark "AL" for 750 fine silver.
