A German singing bird music box,

circa 1930. Silver-plated, nickel-silver body on four projecting feet. Oval porcelain lid with the hand-painted depicting a girl feeding birds in their nest. After releasing the slide in front, the lid opens, and a bird springs up to chirp its song. The bird turns and moves its wings and beak at the same time. Functional. Key missing. Dimensions 11 x 7.5 x 5 cm.
