A coin cup,

by master silversmith Georg Conrad Kessel, Berlin, circa 1715. Silver, partially gold-plated. Slightly conical cup with 32 inset coins between chased acanthus leaves. Various coins from Brandenburg, Hanover-Lüneburg, and Poland dating from between 1536 and 1688. Incorporated into the base a Lüneburg coin from 1611. The base with stamped Berlin city mark and master's mark of Georg Conrad Kessel, who became master silversmith there in 1699. Height 14 cm, weight 312 g.
