A wheellock rifle,

Saxony, dated 1655. Octagonal barrel with eight-groove rifled bore in 15 mm calibre, with a dovetailed brass front sight and iron rear sight. Slightly cut wheellock (the cock inappropriate old replacement, the trigger bar welded). Florally engraved wheel cover made from brass dated "1655", on the lockplate inscribed "Henning Adolph von Steinberg". Set trigger. Fruitwood full stock (the edges to the barrel have been restored) with engraved and blackened bone inlays. At the cheek a cartouche with Europa and the taurus. The butt end with inlays, the tang and the patchbox replacements, the front fixation for the ramrod is missing. Wooden ramrod with horn tip, iron trigger guard. Length 103 cm.
