A Central German cabinet,

circa 1620. Walnut and spruce. Rectangular cabinet on four pressed ball feet. Lavishly decorated with tendrils and fittings made from veneer. Coffered doors displaing crowned national eagles. The base with a lockable drawer. The inside of the cabinet with six drawers around a central, lockable door, behind that six further, smaller drawers. Sophisticated hidden mechanism with three more, hidden drawers. Lockable lid drawer with a hidden keyhole. On the sides two movable, iron carrying handles. Original locks and fittings made from tin-plated iron, the key is a replacement. The veneered layers on the left side with minor imperfections and incomplete. Dimensions 46 x 30.5 x 68 cm.
Sophisticated cabinet in beautiful, almost pristine condition.
