A German sporting carbine,

H. Münch in Aachen 1929, cal. 8.15 x 46 R, no. 4452, matching numbers incl. aperture rear sight. Octagonal barrel with mirror-like bore, proofmark crown/"NBUG" 9.29, machined sighting flat, signature "PRIMA WITTENER STAHL", Münch signature, barrel length 80 cm, field sights, aperture rear sight. Action "ORIGINAL BÜCHEL MEISTER", mulitple set trigger, action lever with black plastic grip scales (slightly damaged) and separate locking lever, colour case-hardened action parts, the receiver inscribed on the left side "EFB LUNA". Beautifully shaped Tyrolean stock made from high-quality walnut wood, restrained carvings, chequered, colour case-hardened butt cap, on the left side of the butt a plaque shaped like a coat of arms "St. Sebastianus Schützengesellschaft Linnich 1930". Total length 125 cm, the forestock slightly loose, repairable. The metal parts minimally spotted, slight traces of use.
Extremely well preserved sports carbine with a solid, rare action.
