Archduke and Heir Presumptive Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Este (1863 - 1914) - an ivory personal seal and writing set.

The seal of ivory, moulded with helically arranged grooves and covered with reptile leather, surmounted by a gilt silver archducal crown. The seal surface with mirrored monogram "FF" beneath an archducal crown. Height 15.5 cm. Included are a writing utensil holder, a letter opener and a crowned ink blotter of ivory.
A very beautifully preserved set.
