A naval dagger,
probably England, circa 1810. Curved single-edged blade with a double-edged tip, both sides with a gilt floral etching against a blued background. Gilt brass hilt, perforate crossguard (bent, sprung) showing a rampant lion. Lightly carved ebony wood grip. Chain missing. Gilt brass scabbard with engraved martial trophies and floral décor. Length 32 cm.
