Tablier de Tambour de la Garde personnelle du Chef de l'Etat

from the time of the Pétain administration. Triangular piece of blue wool fabric with a raised embroidered marshal's baton in the form of a francisca in gold, silver, and the three national colours surmounting a detonating grenade with "EF", the upper right corner bearing the seven silver embroidered rank stars of the marshal. Blue fabric on the back, silver lace on three sides and silver fringes on two sides, the top side with four textile lace fastenings. Circa 54 x 73 cm.
