Historismus period, in the style of the 16th century
A three-piece forged chamfron, the ear pieces and the eye protectors are separate and riveted to the main piece. The rivet heads decorated with a ray pattern. The perimeter edges turned and corded, the edge over the nostrils has a particularly pronounced cylindrical rim. The surface decorated with etched decorative scrolls and leafy vines in the style of the Augsburg Master Anton Pfeffenhauser or that of the Nürnburg Master Kunz Lochner. Height 60 cm.
Good plate armour craftsmanship from the end of the 19th century.
