An iron banded helmet

Central Europe, Migration Period, 5th/6th century.
The skull forged in two pieces with a broad riveted crown band, and a broad continuous brow band. Skull and ridge band heavily corroded with losses in places. Cleaned and conserved excavation find. Height 17 cm.
