A Burmese silver-mounted ceremonial dha

circa 1900
Slightly curved (somewhat stained) single-edged blade with decorative silver figure and script inlays on both sides. Silver grip with a ball-shaped pommel, embossed with extremely lavish floral decoration in relief. The multi-piece silver scabbard shows embossed relief figures within floral decoration on both sides. Length 100.5 cm. Unusual, beautifully worked, dha.
