A Visigothic ceremonial belt buckle,

5th/6th century A.D. Sqare bronze plate with greenish patina. The front profusely set with red and blue glass. The fitting of the central medallion shows remnants of gilding. Comes with a ridged buckle with intact prong, possibly not belonging. Measurements 31 x 31 mm and 32 x 23 mm.
