A Celtic long sword,
Central Europe, Middle La Tène Period, 3rd/2nd Century B.C. Sword with preserved scabbard baked firmly to the blade. The scabbard made of sheet iron with finely worked chape and locket, a riveted suspension loop on one side. Characteristically curved, iron quillons. Slender ridged tang with a small top nut. An original, ritual bend in the middle, restored in that area with minor replacements. Length 102.5 cm
