A Celtic golden torques,
Central Europe, Hallstatt-Period, 6th/5th century B.C. Finely ridged neckring with incised geometrical décor. The flattened ends showing engraved decorative patterns. Formerly ritually bent, partly cracked, broken at the left side. Mounted on a carrier plate. Measurements of the torques 27 x 24.5 cm, weight 253 g. Provenance: German private collection from the 1980s.
