An Illyrian type helmet,

Southeast Europe, 5th century B.C. Bronze skull embossed in one piece with a crest base formed by two parallel ridges running across the crown. Button pin on the forehead. Two small holes at the nape of the neck. Angular, slightly tapered face cutout. Pointed cheekpieces. The perimeter bordered by a fine bead and reel decoration. Height 25 cm.
Underwater find in excellent condition. Greenish patina in the interior and remnants of the encrustations as found.
