An Illyrian type helmet,

6th century B.C. Bronze with strong, greenish patina. The domed skull with two raised parallel ridges running over the crown. Large face opening surmounted by a reinforcing rib. Pointed cheekpieces with pierced holes for chinstraps. Slightly curved rear flange, the perimeter bordered by a ridge and pierced holes for the partially retained lining rivets. Height 22 cm, weight 933 g.
Restored cracks in several places, the crest base most probably with additions. Partially with later patination.
