A wheellock pistol,

North German/Flemish circa 1650. Two-stage barrel, octagonal changing to round after a faceted girdle, with smooth bore in 16 mm calibre. Wheellock with an external wheel and flat lockplate. Sparsely carved, dark full stock with finely engraved brass furniture and an iron nose band. Wooden ramrod. The forestock attached, partially with tiny shrinkage cracks. Length 62 cm.
