Stimmungsvolles Bild über die Einnahme von Paris. Vergoldeter, späterer Rahmen, Maße gerahmt 20 x 28 cm. Rs. altes Sammlungsetikett mit handschriftlicher Bezeichnung "Vor Paris 1814". Kosaken eskortieren französische Gefangene".ÿ
In der Schlacht um Paris (Montmartre) kämpften ca. 100 000 Alliierte (Österreicher, Russen, Preußen, Engländer usw.) unter dem Befehl von Graf Barclay de Tolly gegen ca. 42 000 Franzosen, kommandiert von den Marschällen Marmont und Mortier.

In the centre of the street captured Frenchmen, who are escorted by Cossacks, to the left a camp scene with Austrian troops, to the right advancing allied soldiers. Atmospheric picture of the capture of Paris. Gilt, albeit not the original frame, measuring 20 x 28 cm. On the back an old handwritten collector´s label reading "Vor Paris 1814. Kosaken eskortieren französische Gefangene".
In the Battle of Paris (Montmartre) 100 000 allied troops (Austrians, Russians, Prussians, English, etc.) fought under the command of Count Barcley de Tolly against about 42 000 Frenchmen, who were commanded by the marshals Marmont and Mortier.
