Oil on canvas, relined. Atmospheric view on the Golden Horn and Topkapi Palace at sunset. In the foreground the Mosque of Ortaköy. Slightly cracked surface, stretcher frame renewed. In a slightly restored, gold coloured frame. Picture dimensions 55.5 x 35 cm. Frame dimensions 73 x 52.5 cm.
Probably the school/surrounding of Ivan Konstantinovich Ayvasofsky (1817 - 1900), Feodosia/Russia. His paintings depict preferentially Istanbul, the Krim and mediterranean harbours.
