A flintlock rifle,

Daniel Eck, Nördlingen, dated 1689. Slightly swamped octagonal barrel with smooth bore in 15 mm calibre. Dovetailed brass front sight and iron rear sight. Signed, "DANIEL ECK 1689 NERDLING" above the breech. Iron (replaced) flintlock. Walnut full stock (repaired in the area of the lock) with a patch box and bone nose cap. The butt stock richly inlaid with engraved and blackened bone. Replacement brass trigger guard. Wooden ramrod. Length 112 cm.
