A German flintlock rifle,
circa 1780. Two-stage barrel, octagonal then round after a baluster with eight-groove rifling in 16 mm calibre and a brass front sight. The flintlock has wave-shaped engraving and a spring-mounted frizzen which swings to the side. Carved walnut half stock with patch box and horn nose cap. Smooth brass furniture. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 138 cm.
