A German flintlock rifle with a double lock,
circa 1760. Octagonal, slightly swamped barrel for two loads, one behind the other, with a finely rifled bore in 15 mm calibre. Dovetailed brass front sight, and an iron rear sight. A silver inscription (later) "Kilian Zellner 1679 in Salzburg" on top of the barrel. Lightly engraved double flintlock with two triggers. Ornamentally carved walnut full stock with patch box, engraved brass furniture and brass nose cap. A cleaning needle for the vents under the cheek piece. Original wooden ramrod with brass tip and threaded iron shoe. Length 104 cm.
