A wheellock rifle,

Caspar Zellner, circa 1740. Slightly swamped octagonal barrel with six-groove rifling in 13.5 mm calibre with a dovetailed brass front sight and iron rear sight. A brass filled mark "M M" (Stöckel, No. 4006) with a rampant lion above a coat of arms on the chamber. Cut wheellock, signed "Caspar Zellner" framed between beautifully engraved pictures of bridges and people. Set trigger. Light walnut full stock (minimal restoration) with horn nose cap and patch box. Smooth brass furniture with a thumb safety on the butt. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 115 cm.
