A French Jesus' corpus

Burgundy, 17th century
Christ's corpus carved of walnut in one piece with separate arms attached. Three nail type with the head wearing the crown of thorns and inclined to one side. The loincloth is attached around the hips with a cord. The body has minor age cracks, one little finger damaged. Very impressive, high quality carved figure. Height 44 cm.
