A Northern German wheellock puffer,

end of the 16th century. Heavy, round, swamped, smooth bore barrel in 13 mm calibre with remnants of engraved decoration on the chamber. Iron wheellock with safety. Sideplate has a belt hook. Walnut stock with engraved and blackened bone inlays. Iron parts cleaned with acid. The ramrod and a few inlays are replacements. Stock has been repaired below the lock and some worm holes have been filled. Length 58.5 cm.
