A flintlock rifle,
C. Keiner, Eger, circa 1730. Octagonal barrel, lightly swamped (reblued) with a seven groove rifled bore in 14 mm calibre, a dovetailed front sight and a cut rear sight. Signed "C. KEINER IN EGER" (worn) on the breech. A silver escutcheon behind the tang is engraved with a princely coronet and alloy monogram "AESD"(?). Flintlock sculpted in wheellock form is beautifully cut with floral ornamentation and a horseman. Hair trigger. Walnut full stock with floral carving. Horn nose cap and butt plate (patch box lid replaced). Smooth brass furniture. Trigger guard with finger rests (soldered). Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 106 cm.
