A German table centrepiece

2nd half of the 19th century
A silver table centrepiece in the form of a doubled grape vine with finely worked tendrils and grapes with a putto sitting in front. The base has embossed line decoration and the monogram "PH" on the obverse side under an unlined hoop crown. Three feet shaped like curved roots. The foot bears a factory number, and the 13 Lothig hallmark. One tendril has a hardly visible repair. Matching crystal glass insert cut with matt floral designs. Height 60 cm. Weight ca. 2000 g.
