A large German war chest

circa 1700
A large, heavy sheet iron, rectangular trunk with reinforced edges and curved decorative fittings on the front and lid. There is a fake lock on the front between two hasps. The lid has a keyhole in the centre. Replacement key. The lock has three frontal tumblers and one on each side. The cover plate is missing. Two movable handles on the sides. Dimensions 107 x 55 x 58 cm.
