A skeleton pocket watch

French(?), circa 1830
Silver pocket watch with glass back. The case has thin gilding. Separate dark-blue enamel numbers, gilded Louis XV jewelled hands (minute hand is probably a replacement). Chimes every quarter hour with a two tone striking mechanism. Gilded, double full-plate movement, fusée escapement and power reserve. Balance wheel with a gilded filigree cover plate. Case diameter ca. 58 mm. Not tested for function. Key missing.
