2nd half of the 17th century A square chest with riveted crossed strap fittings. A covered keyhole in the centre of the lid, as well as a lock mechanism with four catches. Ornamental, screw-fastened openwork cover plate. False lock on the front with embossed keyhole cover and two hasps. On each side a movable carrying handle. Old red lead colouring and brace inside. Hollow shank, iron key. Dimensions 33 x 66 x 37 cm.
