H. Gerlach in Meerholz (Hesse), circa 1760. Heavy octagonal barrel, with a slightly constricted diameter in the middle and a seven groove rifled bore in 16 mm calibre. Dovetailed sights. Signature: "H. Gerlach à Meerholz" engraved on the top. Flintlock with engraved edges. Double set trigger. Lightly carved walnut full stock with bone nose cap. Patch box with sliding lid. Brass furniture with grotesque masks in relief. Wooden ramrod with bone tip. Length 105 cm.
