A model 1789 cavalry pistol.

Round, smooth bore barrel in calibre 17.3 mm. At the breech an inspection mark. The lock inscribed "POTZDAMMAGAZ", and "G.S." for the Schickler brothers on the edge. The master's monogram "IMO" on the interior. Darkened walnut stock with brass furniture, the crowned cipher "FWR" on the right side of the butt plate, and the inspection stamp "N" for the factory's superintendent Nortmann on the trigger guard. Length 49.6 cm.
Rare and well preserved pistol.
