A gold-inlaid set of armour
India, Lahore 19th century Consisting of the helmet (kulah khud), two arm guards (bazu band) and four armour plates (char aina). Each is of forged iron with floral/geometric gold decoration inlaid over the entire surface. The helmet, one arm guard, and two of the armor plates have some traces of corrosion and the gold inlay is somewhat effaced. Length of the arm guards (without the mail glove) 31.5 cm.
