An Avar sword,

Hungary, 9th/10th century. Slender, single-edged blade with double-edged point and remnants of a sleeve at the base. Short quillons turning towards the blade with rounded finials. Conical tang with three preserved grip rivets. Cleaned excavation discovery. Length 115 cm.
