A hand-and-a-half sword,
German, ca. 1400. Long, double-edged blade with a fuller on both sides, at the base a heart as well as a stylized wolf on one side and hammer and orb on the other, all inlaid in brass. Square quillons, curving gently towards the point, conical tang and oval disk pommel. Cleaned and conserved grave discovery. Length 126,5 cm.
