A Venetian schiavona,

18th century. Long double-edged blade with smith marks and a short fuller on both sides. Typical basket hilt with thumb ring, the stylized brass cat's head pommel with heads on both sides, the original sharkskin grip-cover wound with copper wire and with a geometrically pierced gasket. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with chape and locket fastened with bars. Two suspension rings on the side. Length 107.5 cm.
Untouched edged weapon.
