Bartolomäus Joseph Kuchenreuter, Regensburg around 1850 The browned octagonal, polygroove refled barrels in 12 mm calibre, BARTH. IOS. KUCHENREUTER inlaid in silver on the top flats, patent breeches numbered 1 and 2, adjustable rear sights, set-triggers, the lockplates engraved REG-ENS-BURG and numbered 1 and 2, the tangs and the iron furniture finely engraved with scrolls, the sideplates engraved with two swans, the walnut stocks carved in acanthus leaves, the grips fluted (one with some restoration). OAL 41.5 cm. In a later box with some accessories. B. J. Kuchenreuter, 1811-73, was one of the famous clan that supplied firearms inter alia to the Princes of Thurn und Taxis.
