A Magnate's gem set and silver accoutrements

Hungary, 19th century
A velvet lined casket containing a saber, suspension chains, belt, clasp, spurs and buttons. Each piece is of gilded silver richly set with emeralds, garnets, almandines, opals, and fresh water pearls. Splendid complete set with high value emeralds. The exterior of the casket is somewhat damaged, and the lid is loose with it. Length of the saber: 96.5 cm.
