A Styrian broadsword

around 1600
Broad double-edged blade with a blunt point. The upper third of the blade is marked on both sides (crowned snake). Simple, barred iron hilt with a lightly pushed-in ring guard. Flat pommel with two perforations. Grip has the original iron wrapping. Length: 96 cm.
Very well preserved weapon, arsenal care. There are numerous, almost identical pieces at the Graz Armoury.
