Pieces from the presentation service for the betrothal of Ernst August von Hannover (17 November 1887 - 30 January 1950) to Princess Viktoria Luise von Preußen (13 September 1892-11 December 1980). White interior, red edge with gold rim. Crowned monogram "EA" on the edge. KPM mark on the bottom. Diameter: 22 cm.
This union of Hanover with Prussia was of great political significance at the time, as it was a way to put aside the mounting antagonism between the House of Welf and the House of Hohenzollern.
